Responsibilities
- Model and design mechanical components and assemblies, including various materials and components.
- Perform mechanical design analysis such as structural finite element analysis and design for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product specifications and performance targets.
- Develop engineering test plans and assist in prototype builds.
- Diagnose and resolve test failures and production issues.
- Create high-quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Ensure designs are suitable for high-volume assembly and outdoor environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with high-volume assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Strong fundamentals in mechanics, heat transfer, and fluids.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling; experience with CATIA V5/V6 is a plus.
- Knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as metal stamping and plastic injection molding.
- Experience in defining test plans and analyzing data.
- Familiarity with PLM systems and BOM structuring.
