Responsibilities
- Design and optimize bearing arrangements and configurations for gear systems.
- Select and specify bearings based on function, reliability, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with teams to define load, alignment, lubrication, and cleanliness requirements.
- Execute bearing validation tests and conduct failure analysis.
- Provide technical guidance to cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Interface with suppliers to drive process improvements and product excellence.
- Support the design and development of other geartrain components.
Job Requirements
- Experience analyzing and designing bearing and geartrain components.
- Strong fundamentals in bearing mechanics, lubrication, and failure analysis.
- Familiarity with various types of bearings and their design/manufacturing.
- Technical aptitude from concept through production launch.
- Proficiency in modeling tools such as Matlab or Python.
- Experience with bearing and geartrain analysis tools is a bonus.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
