Responsibilities
- Develop and test manufacturing processes for existing and new products.
- Design automated and semi-automated tooling for process validation and prototype builds.
- Provide Design for Manufacturing feedback to Product Design Engineering.
- Manage procurement, construction, and deployment of automated production equipment.
- Manage suppliers during specification, design, buyoff, and installation of manufacturing equipment.
- Ramp high volume manufacturing equipment to meet performance standards.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement and cost reduction programs.
Job Requirements
- Prior internships or full-time experience in mechanical design of machinery and manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with various manufacturing processes (e.g., fastening, injection molding, soldering).
- Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software (e.g., Solidworks, Catia, AutoCAD).
- Experience with automation systems, robotics, and PLCs.
- Working knowledge of data analysis, statistics, and SPC tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab).
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally.
