Responsibilities
- Geometry cleaning and meshing in STARCCM for new battery pack architectures.
- Characterize and develop 3D abuse models for battery cells.
- Conduct thermal modeling to assess risks of thermal runaway in battery packs.
- Perform part design sensitivities to support safety design decisions.
- Analyze data using MATLAB to identify trends in modeling and testing results.
- Collaborate closely with managers and mentors on critical projects.
- Participate in hands-on testing and experimental work related to thermal modeling and CFD.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in STAR CCM+, ANSYS, OpenFOAM, or COMSOL.
- Experience with CAD software (CATIA/Solidworks), MATLAB, or Python.
- Familiarity with thermal modeling, CFD, numerical methods, and heat transfer.
- Hands-on testing and experimental work experience.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
- Willingness to participate in a structured internship program.
