Responsibilities
- Design and package thermal systems for Tesla Energy products.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, manufacturing, and service teams.
- Advance product performance while optimizing efficiency, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Perform thermal/fluid modeling and feasibility studies.
- Develop and execute design validation plans and test methods.
- Create high-quality drawing packages and manufacturing instructions.
- Solve test failures and production problems for continuous improvement.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to learn CAD design and prototyping.
- Strong engineering fundamentals in heat transfer, fluids, mechanics, and electronics.
- Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals and material science.
- Experience with thermal analysis and CFD.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 and knowledge of Matlab or Python.
- Direct machine shop skills and experience with student engineering projects are a plus.
