Responsibilities

  • Model and design mechanical components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, and magnetic components.
  • Conduct mechanical design analysis including thermal, CFD, and structural analysis.
  • Solve electronics packaging issues related to electrical isolation, sealing, and thermal management.
  • Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies.
  • Assist in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication.
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams to take designs from prototype to mass production.
  • Develop engineering test plans for designs.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in designing packaging for electronic assemblies.
  • Understanding of material science related to mechanical design components.
  • Proficiency in 3D mechanical design and analysis tools (e.g., CATIA, ANSYS).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of GD&T, finite element analysis, and design for reliability concepts.
  • Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals.
