Responsibilities
- Model and design mechanical components and assemblies including plastics, sheet metal, and magnetic components.
- Conduct mechanical design analysis including thermal, CFD, and structural analysis.
- Solve electronics packaging issues related to electrical isolation, sealing, and thermal management.
- Create drawing packages and manufacturing instructions for parts and assemblies.
- Assist in engineering prototype builds and component fabrication.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to take designs from prototype to mass production.
- Develop engineering test plans for designs.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering, Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in designing packaging for electronic assemblies.
- Understanding of material science related to mechanical design components.
- Proficiency in 3D mechanical design and analysis tools (e.g., CATIA, ANSYS).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of GD&T, finite element analysis, and design for reliability concepts.
- Basic understanding of electrical design fundamentals.
