Responsibilities
- Develop designs in CAD for detailed parts and master model assemblies.
- Perform tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and other simulations.
- Create 2D drawings for high-volume production and inspection.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews with suppliers.
- Design automated fixtures and calibration equipment for robotics products.
- Own the mechanical design of test equipment from concept to deployment.
- Create and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (CATIA preferred).
- Experience in drafting engineering drawings and conducting tolerance stack-up analysis.
- Strong intuition for structural optimization backed by FEA/hand calculations.
- Good electrical foundation with knowledge of gearbox, motor, inverter, and wire harness design.
- Programming skills in MATLAB/Simulink and/or Python preferred.
- Ability to prototype using fabrication, machining, and basic electronics/coding abilities.
