Responsibilities
- Work with engineering teams in support of additive manufacturing operations and post-processing.
- Collaborate with tool design engineers to optimize parts for additive manufacturing.
- Assist in the design and development of processes for finishing and coating products.
- Engage in alloy development, failure analysis, and material characterization.
- Conduct materials testing and characterization for various materials.
- Suggest and implement joining methods for fasteners in design phases.
- Support the mechanical design and manufacturing of high-pressure die casting dies.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science or a related field.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, thermal, electrical, and physical properties of materials.
- Familiarity with materials testing and characterization techniques.
- Experience with coding in Python and Matlab is a plus.
- Ability to work on-site full-time for the duration of the internship.
- Willingness to promote health and safety in the workplace.
