Responsibilities
- Evaluate and qualify material candidates, including engineering plastics, composites, and adhesives.
- Conduct materials characterization and performance evaluation in collaboration with the Solar Materials Engineering team.
- Understand and develop structure-property relationships of polymeric components.
- Develop and evaluate improved compositions of custom formulations.
- Write materials specifications, test procedures, and SOPs.
- Collaborate with cross-discipline teams and communicate effectively.
- Maintain detailed organization and project focus while working independently and in teams.
Job Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in Materials Science Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Polymer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in statistical software.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Dependable and prompt in completing tasks.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for the duration of the internship.
