The role is an Industrial Engineering Internship focused on supply chain activities, including quality management, component development, and process improvement at suppliers. The internship is full-time and on-site, aimed at students actively enrolled in an academic program.
Responsibilities
- Assist in critical component development and qualification activities at suppliers.
- Conduct failure analysis and lead statistical process control activities.
- Drive improvements using Lean methodologies and ensure supplier compliance.
- Evaluate design for manufacturing risks and identify feasibility of manufacturing processes.
- Lead internal program reviews for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
- Collaborate with various teams to manage supplier metrics and corrective actions.
- Develop and manage supplier planning and execution of manufacturing processes.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with GD&T, AutoCAD, Solid Works, CATIA, and MiniTab.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and concepts.
- Previous experience in production control, project management, or process engineering.
- Knowledge of PPAP/APQP processes.
- Self-starter with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
- Software skills in MySQL, Tableau, Excel, and flowcharting software; bonus for R and Python.
