Responsibilities

  • Document observations and present findings to a technical audience.
  • Support the Boulder R&D team in fabricating small scale electrode coatings.
  • Develop cell test plans to characterize initial cell performance and reliability.
  • Analyze data to determine degradation mechanisms and optimize cell performance.
  • Plan test resources and track testing progress.
  • Help identify critical failures and degradation modes of battery materials.
  • Collaborate with team members on high-impact projects in energy storage solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science).
  • Experience with electrochemical and mechanical evaluation of battery electrode analysis techniques.
  • Familiarity with degradation mechanisms of batteries and battery materials.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and electrochemistry.
  • Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, and energy storage.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
