Responsibilities
- Document observations and present findings to a technical audience.
- Support the Boulder R&D team in fabricating small scale electrode coatings.
- Develop cell test plans to characterize initial cell performance and reliability.
- Analyze data to determine degradation mechanisms and optimize cell performance.
- Plan test resources and track testing progress.
- Help identify critical failures and degradation modes of battery materials.
- Collaborate with team members on high-impact projects in energy storage solutions.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering (preferably in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science).
- Experience with electrochemical and mechanical evaluation of battery electrode analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with degradation mechanisms of batteries and battery materials.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or similar data analysis tools.
- Knowledge of lithium-ion battery technology and electrochemistry.
- Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, power delivery, and energy storage.
- Ability to work full-time on-site for a minimum of 12 weeks.
