Responsibilities

  • Utilize numerical simulation tools to analyze vehicle performance.
  • Work with the Crash Structures Analysis team to ensure vehicle structures can safely dissipate crash energy.
  • Collaborate with the Durability Analysis team to assess product quality and longevity.
  • Support the Multiphysics team in simulating performance attributes related to thermal loads and water management.
  • Conduct structural and thermal analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
  • Participate in team projects that contribute to the design of Tesla’s vehicles and energy products.
  • Communicate findings and solutions effectively within the team.

Job Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of structural mechanics and mechanical behavior of materials.
  • Experience with industry-standard FEA tools is a plus.
  • Background in fluid mechanics and thermal modeling for thermal/fluid analysis roles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively on engineering problems.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
