Responsibilities
- Utilize numerical simulation tools to analyze vehicle performance.
- Work with the Crash Structures Analysis team to ensure vehicle structures can safely dissipate crash energy.
- Collaborate with the Durability Analysis team to assess product quality and longevity.
- Support the Multiphysics team in simulating performance attributes related to thermal loads and water management.
- Conduct structural and thermal analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).
- Participate in team projects that contribute to the design of Tesla’s vehicles and energy products.
- Communicate findings and solutions effectively within the team.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Civil, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics and mechanical behavior of materials.
- Experience with industry-standard FEA tools is a plus.
- Background in fluid mechanics and thermal modeling for thermal/fluid analysis roles.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on engineering problems.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Problem-solving skills and creativity in finding solutions.
