Responsibilities
- Drive issue resolution from root cause analysis to countermeasure implementation on electro-mechanical issues.
- Perform detailed hands-on failure analysis using various analytical tools and techniques.
- Design and conduct experiments on drive units to replicate failures observed in the field.
- Analyze and interpret field and diagnostic logs/data to identify trending issues.
- Monitor product field performance and prioritize work based on severity and cost of failures.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure product performance and reliability issues are identified.
- Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and manufacturers to resolve identified failure causes.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a hands-on role related to Failure Analysis, Quality, or Service in consumer electronics or automotive.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to use tools and applications to manage and interpret data.
- Familiarity with programming languages and tools like Python, Minitab, or JMP.
- Experience from co-ops or student competitions such as Formula SAE or Baja SAE is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish effective working relationships.
