Responsibilities
- Engage with electronics and battery pack teams to prioritize test needs.
- Create and execute tests for various abusive electrical scenarios.
- Develop sub-pack-scale tests to analyze novel failure modes.
- Create new test equipment as needed for testing.
- Anticipate and mitigate hazards during test execution.
- Share results and maintain documentation for reference by other teams.
- Recreate field incidents and suggest countermeasures.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Applied Physics Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in applied engineering (lab testing, development, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with wiring, prototyping, troubleshooting, and instrumentation.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and lead technicians.
- Strong planning skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
- Bonus: Familiarity with CAN bus, battery management systems, Python, and related tools.
