Responsibilities
- Lead the interconnection process for large electrical loads with utility companies.
- Design and engineer switchyards, substations, and associated infrastructure at high voltages.
- Develop and implement system protection strategies to safeguard equipment.
- Perform load modeling and simulation using specialized tools.
- Conduct power system studies including short-circuit analysis and transient stability evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to integrate designs.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in electrical engineering focused on high-voltage power systems.
- Proven expertise in interconnecting large loads with electrical utilities.
- Extensive experience designing switchyards and substations at high voltages.
- Strong knowledge of system protection principles.
- Proficiency in load modeling and power system simulation software.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
