Mechanical Design Engineer

This role involves executing industrial equipment design activities, focusing on mechanical equipment and process systems, and collaborating with various engineering teams and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.

• Review contract documentation and project drawings for compliance.
• Select and size equipment and components based on application and safety regulations.
• Perform engineering calculations for mechanical components and system performance.
• Design mechanical equipment and process systems according to applicable codes and standards.
• Prepare technical specifications and issue component requisitions.
• Review vendor submittals for compliance with specifications.
• Support project managers with technical input and participate in site installation and commissioning activities.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 1-3 years of engineering/design experience in heavy industrial equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong communication skills with internal teams and vendors.
