Responsibilities
- Develop PLC and HMI software for cold rolling mill equipment.
- Translate technical specifications into functional design documents and control logic.
- Design and specify electrical/instrumentation hardware and control software.
- Interact with clients, vendors, and internal departments for project alignment.
- Customize, simulate, and test automation systems before site implementation.
- Install and commission automation systems at customer facilities.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical/control issues in high-precision environments.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automation or control system software design.
- Familiarity with motor control systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Experience with PLCs (Siemens S7, Rockwell ControlLogix) and HMIs (Wonderware, RSView).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, and communication skills.
- Preferred experience with SAP and exposure to automation systems in cold rolling or steel processing.
