Structures - Design Engineer

The role is for an Aerospace Structures Design Engineer at Stoke, focusing on the design, analysis, and first build of components for a reusable rocket. The position involves significant responsibility within the Structures sub-system and collaboration across multiple disciplines.

• Define the structural design of the rocket in coordination with other vehicle components.
• Analyze structural components and write margin summaries.
• Procure and manage hardware for owned components and structures.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineers to build and test initial articles.
• Track and disposition non-conformances for structural hardware.
• Manage budget and schedule for structural components.
• Ensure effective communication within the team.

• Minimum 2 years of industry experience in vehicle structures design, build, or testing.
• Strong command of engineering fundamentals.
• Experience in full lifecycle development on aerospace or high-performance products.
• Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred) and analysis software (ANSYS preferred).
• Ability to determine appropriate work levels for problems.
• Familiarity with launch vehicle design and cryogenic propellant.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
