Responsibilities
- Define the structural design of the rocket in coordination with other vehicle components.
- Analyze structural components and write margin summaries, potentially developing loads or load cases.
- Procure and manage hardware for structural components.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and test engineers to build and test initial articles.
- Track and resolve non-conformances for structural hardware.
- Manage budget and schedule for structural components.
- Support hardware from design through to functioning product including manufacturing and test.
Job Requirements
- Preferred 2 years of industry experience in vehicle structures design, build, or testing.
- Strong command of engineering fundamentals.
- Experience in development projects through the full lifecycle in aerospace or similar products.
- Proficiency in CAD (NX preferred) and analysis software (ANSYS preferred).
- Ability to determine appropriate work levels for engineering problems.
- Familiarity with launch vehicle design and cryogenic propellant.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
