Responsibilities
- Own the technical roadmap for avionics mechanical design.
- Lead the execution of mechanical designs from concept through to operations.
- Hire, grow, and mentor a team of engineers.
- Provide technical coaching in structures, avionics, and rocket operations.
- Maintain a culture of integrity, reliability, and fast iteration.
- Design, analyze, manufacture, and test flight avionics.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to increase throughput and reduce costs.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in avionics mechanical systems design.
- 1+ years of experience leading a team of engineers.
- Project management experience with budget and schedule development.
- Proficiency with CAD and analysis tools (e.g., NX, ANSYS).
- Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly of components.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or similar.
