Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain expertise in manufacturing processes for efficient output.
- Define production processes including tooling and equipment.
- Validate design specifications and shop floor applications of new products.
- Develop/design new tooling or processes to improve manufacturing quality and output.
- Perform cost/benefit analysis of process improvement ideas.
- Collaborate with Quality, Operations, and Maintenance to reduce Cost of Quality.
- Manage the implementation of new parts/repairs/processes using project management tools.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or MRO environment.
- Experience in developing repairs for turbine engine components in an FAA repair station.
- Ability to provide technical instructions and training to inspectors and mechanics.
- Experience in making, setting up, and writing test stands/manuals.
- Specific turbine engine component repair development experience.
- Shop background is preferred.
