Responsibilities
- Analyze and track on-orbit hardware failures for the Starshield satellite constellation
- Drive root cause investigation for major on-orbit hardware anomalies
- Work closely with engineers from adjacent disciplines to eliminate sources of on-orbit failure
- Drive continual improvements to the constellation by building and using tools to analyze data
- Continuously improve the feedback loop from space using effective communication and automation
- Provide data-driven insights to improve design and production reliability
- Create comprehensive monitoring systems to ensure fleet health
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics
- 5+ years of professional experience in reliability engineering
- 5+ years of professional experience in hardware development, troubleshooting, or data analysis
- 3+ years of experience with Python or SQL
- Master’s degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or data science preferred
- Strong understanding of failure mechanisms for electronic, mechanical, or optical systems
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
