Operations Engineer, Starlink Satellites

The Operations Engineer for Starlink Satellites at SpaceX will drive improvement projects to enhance safety, reliability, and process capability in the satellite production team, playing a critical role in the development and execution of new processes and infrastructure.

• Identify, plan, and execute upgrades for capital equipment, machine, and infrastructure to meet production demands.
• Manage projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Drive improvements to increase production throughput and reduce quality issues.
• Anticipate challenges in satellite manufacturing and develop solutions.
• Develop and improve key process indicators and operations metrics.
• Train team members on best operations practices and process improvements.
• Analyze data and drive systemic improvements based on findings.

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Experience with CAD software, SQL, and analysis tools.
• Experience in an industrial, operations, quality, process, or manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficiency in statistics, data analysis, and visualization tools.
• Experience with inventory and production planning.
• Strong communication skills and ability to present to teams and management.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
