The New Graduate Engineer, Mechanical (Starship) role at SpaceX involves working on the design and development of next-generation launch vehicles and production lines as part of the elite Starbase team. Responsibilities
- Design and develop next-generation launch vehicles, launch pads, and production lines.
- Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize designs.
- Iterate on manufacturing processes and conduct development testing in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure hardware integration with all Starship systems.
- Own large business outcomes and experience significant personal and professional growth.
- Contribute to the production of high-performance flight hardware and a rapid launch system.
- Witness the transition from hardware building to flying reusable rockets.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics.
- 1+ years of mechanical and/or fluids engineering experience.
- Graduating in the fall of 2025, spring of 2026, or summer of 2026.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience in a highly technical position or nimble engineering organization.
- Demonstrated resilience and ability to overcome challenges.
- Minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 or higher, with high standardized test scores.
