Responsibilities
- Work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements
- Develop production procedures and manage the transition from development to high-rate production
- Coordinate and execute testing of systems, machinery, and tooling
- Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency
- Create original CAD models and prints for components
- Lead on-site design engineering contact for efficient build of parts
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies while interfacing with the quality team
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production
- Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields preferred
- Experience with large mechanical assemblies and CAD software
- Knowledge of metallic manufacturing techniques and processes
- Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA)
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a production environment
