Responsibilities
- Collaborate with vehicle analysts and design teams to meet design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop production procedures for transitioning structures from development to high-rate production.
- Coordinate testing of systems, machinery, and tooling to meet hardware delivery deadlines.
- Implement design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
- Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Serve as the on-site design engineering contact for efficient part and assembly builds.
- Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
- Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
- Proficiency in mechanical component design using 3D CAD software.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Experience in a production environment within the aerospace industry.
