Responsibilities
- Work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop production procedures and manage the transition of structures from development to high-rate production.
- Coordinate and execute testing of systems, machinery, and tooling for hardware delivery.
- Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
- Create original CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Lead on-site design engineering for efficient build of parts and assemblies.
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies while interfacing with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
- Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field preferred.
- Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
- Mechanical component design experience using 3D CAD software.
- Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Ability to perform job duties requiring physical dexterity in tight quarters.
