Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vehicle analysts and design teams to meet design and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop production procedures for transitioning structures from development to high-rate production.
  • Coordinate testing of systems, machinery, and tooling to meet hardware delivery deadlines.
  • Implement design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
  • Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
  • Serve as the on-site design engineering contact for efficient part and assembly builds.
  • Maintain build schedules and resolve manufacturing discrepancies with the quality team.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in mechanical component design using 3D CAD software.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
  • Experience in a production environment within the aerospace industry.
