Responsibilities
- Work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
- Develop production procedures and manage the transition from development to high-rate production.
- Coordinate and execute testing of systems, machinery, and tooling.
- Implement design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
- Create CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
- Lead on-site design engineering for efficient build of parts and assemblies.
- Resolve manufacturing discrepancies and interface with the quality team.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
- Master’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering preferred.
- Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD software for mechanical component design.
- Knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
- Experience in a production environment within the aerospace industry.
