Responsibilities

  • Work closely with vehicle analysts and design teams to ensure solutions meet design and manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop production procedures and manage the transition from development to high-rate production.
  • Coordinate and execute testing of systems, machinery, and tooling.
  • Execute design for manufacturability changes to enhance production efficiency.
  • Create original CAD models and prints for flight and tooling components.
  • Lead the on-site design engineering contact for efficient build of parts and assemblies.
  • Participate in design reviews with suppliers and customers.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production (internship and school projects qualify).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in relevant engineering fields.
  • Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in mechanical component and tooling design using 3D CAD software.
  • Experience with design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
  • Ability to work extended hours and in physically demanding environments.
