Responsibilities
- Design the factory and process for high-quality flow control devices and mechanisms.
- Optimize production flow, accelerate production, and implement targeted automation.
- Collaborate with engineers and vendors to ensure manufacturability of parts.
- Maintain work instructions and track defects/part movement.
- Support component-level testing such as proof and leak checks.
- Aim for zero workmanship defects and enhance factory scrutiny as products mature.
- Engage in travel to vendors and other SpaceX sites as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Preferred leadership or mentorship experience.
- Experience with fluid and electromechanical components.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics, materials, and thermodynamics.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and fluid schematics.
- Experience in software development in SQL, Python, or C#.
