Responsibilities
- Design the factory and processes for high-quality flow control devices and mechanisms.
- Optimize production flow and implement targeted automation.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure manufacturability of parts.
- Maintain work instructions and track defects in a scalable manner.
- Support component-level testing and solve production yield issues.
- Aim for zero workmanship defects and enhance factory scrutiny as products mature.
- Engage in travel to vendors and other SpaceX sites as necessary.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Leadership or mentorship experience with strong communication skills.
- Familiarity with fluid and electromechanical components.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and electrical circuits.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and fluid schematics.
- Experience in software development using SQL, Python, or C#.
