Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, build, and implementation of custom equipment for testing satellite components.
- Work with a cross-discipline team to develop integrated test systems.
- Collaborate with production personnel and engineering teams to meet factory goals.
- Solve complex problems with an emphasis on efficiency.
- Design mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems for testing equipment.
- Validate components against vehicle requirements through specialized machinery.
- Adapt to a fast-paced work environment and perform physical tasks as required.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, ProE).
- Knowledge of custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing process development and inspection methods.
- Experience performing structural analysis using FEMAP, NASTRAN, or ANSYS.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and GD&T.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and fluid system schematics.
