Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, build, and implementation of custom equipment for testing satellite components.
- Work with a cross-discipline team including electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineers to develop integrated test systems.
- Collaborate with production personnel, engineering teams, and leadership to advance factory goals.
- Solve complex, open-ended problems with an emphasis on speed of execution and efficiency.
- Design and implement machines for testing satellite components.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards and requirements.
- Adapt to varying roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD software design packages (e.g., NX, CATIA, or ProE).
- Familiarity with custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Knowledge of manufacturing process development and common inspection methods.
- Experience performing structural analysis using FEMAP, NASTRAN, or ANSYS.
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to adapt while working in a challenging environment.
