Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, build, and implementation of custom equipment for testing satellite components.
- Work with a cross-discipline team including electrical, mechanical, controls, and software engineers to develop integrated test systems.
- Collaborate with production personnel, engineering teams, and leadership to advance factory goals.
- Solve complex, open-ended problems with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Design mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems for testing.
- Conduct structural analysis using software tools like FEMAP and ANSYS.
- Ensure compliance with drafting standards and GD&T in creating drawings.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, or ProE) and PLM/PDM software (e.g., Teamcenter).
- Familiarity with custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Experience in manufacturing process development and production tooling.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts and ability to read fluid system schematics.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
