Responsibilities
- Own the design, development, build, and implementation of custom equipment for testing satellite components.
- Work with a cross-discipline team to develop integrated test systems.
- Collaborate with production personnel and engineering teams to meet development and reliability goals.
- Solve complex, open-ended problems with an emphasis on speed and efficiency.
- Design and implement mechanical, thermal, and fluid systems.
- Ensure compliance with vehicle requirements through validation processes.
- Adapt roles and responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., NX, CATIA, ProE) and PLM/PDM software (e.g., Teamcenter).
- Knowledge of custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Experience with manufacturing process development and production tooling.
- Familiarity with structural analysis tools (FEMAP, NASTRAN, ANSYS).
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and fluid system schematics.
