Responsibilities
- Own hardware design from conceptualization through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
- Develop design criteria and collaborate on system-level optimization.
- Rapidly iterate on designs to inform systems trades and product direction.
- Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) to improve efficiency and performance metrics.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform environmental and performance testing to validate designs.
- Ensure product delivery timelines are met throughout the development process.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of professional experience in mechanical/electromechanical design.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, preferably NX.
- Solid understanding of GD&T and structural analysis.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
