Responsibilities
- Develop innovative flow control devices and mechanisms for Starship and Super Heavy systems.
- Simplify and optimize component deliveries by questioning requirements and processes.
- Collaborate with stage, avionics, and flight safety teams as the chief engineer.
- Inform system-level architecture considering component capabilities and vulnerabilities.
- Generate detailed part drawings, perform structural analysis, and monitor hardware performance.
- Lead root cause investigations for component failures and implement preventive measures.
- Communicate technical concepts across all levels of the organization.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on manufacturing, testing, or design experience.
- Leadership or mentorship experience and strong communication skills.
- Knowledge in solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with electro-mechanical devices and CNC operations.
- Familiarity with software development in SQL or Python.
- Willingness to obtain ATF explosives clearance.
