Responsibilities
- Develop innovative flow control devices and mechanisms for spacecraft systems.
- Simplify and optimize component deliveries while questioning requirements.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to find the simplest solutions for vehicle design.
- Inform system architecture considering component capabilities and vulnerabilities.
- Generate detailed part drawings, perform structural analysis, and lead design reviews.
- Target zero in-flight anomalies and spearhead component root cause investigations.
- Design and implement fixes to prevent repeat failures in production and launch.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of hands-on manufacturing, testing, or design experience.
- Leadership or mentorship experience with effective communication skills.
- Strong foundation in solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in drawings (GD&T) and CNC operation.
- Experience in ANSYS or explosion analysis.
- Willingness to handle high explosive devices and obtain ATF explosives clearance.
