Responsibilities
- Design and develop structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment for high-volume production of Starlink Satellites.
- Demonstrate extreme ownership of projects from initial concept to production.
- Manage multiple projects of varying scope in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with flight design and production teams to develop satellites and production processes.
- Solve complex problems with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal resources and external vendors while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Assemble and commission the designed equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ year of experience in designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software.
- Experience with structural design and analysis.
- Familiarity with custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Strong expertise in design for manufacturability and assembly.
- Experience with finite element analysis and manufacturing process development.
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
