Responsibilities
- Design and develop structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment for high volume production of Starlink satellites.
- Demonstrate ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle, from concept to production.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with flight design and production teams to develop the satellite and production processes concurrently.
- Solve complex problems with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal resources and external vendors while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Assemble and commission designed equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ year of experience in designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software.
- Experience with structural design and analysis.
- Knowledge of custom machine design and electromechanical systems.
- Ability to perform structures hand calculations.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and machining experience.
- Experience with CAD/PDM systems and finite element analysis tools.
