Responsibilities
- Design and develop structures, mechanisms, and automation equipment for high volume production of Starlink Satellites.
- Demonstrate ownership of projects from concept through fabrication and production.
- Manage multiple projects of varying scope in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with flight design and production teams on satellite and factory processes.
- Solve complex problems with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Coordinate with internal resources and external vendors, maintaining project schedules and budgets.
- Assemble and commission designed equipment.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience in designing mechanical systems using 3D CAD software.
- Experience with structural design and custom machine design.
- Ability to perform structures hand calculations.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and hands-on machining experience.
- Familiarity with drafting standards and GD&T.
- Experience with finite element analysis tools.
