Responsibilities
- Establish safety tools and procedures for production process planning and optimization.
- Perform risk assessments on industrial machinery and review safety code.
- Serve as the Laser Safety Officer (LSO) for the department.
- Conduct PFMEAs to ensure safe manufacturing processes.
- Analyze tooling and ground support equipment for safety and load factors.
- Provide safety design guidance on high-pressure systems.
- Attend test readiness reviews and collaborate with key stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field or STEM.
- 1+ years in a manufacturing, quality, or design engineering role, including internships.
- Knowledge of quality tools and process safety management methods.
- Proficiency with CAD tools and experience with software like MySQL and Python.
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Enthusiasm for the mission of enabling multi-planetary life.
- Willingness to relocate to Hawthorne, CA, and work extended hours as needed.
