Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned rocket parts and assemblies.
- Own the new product introduction process for new assemblies, including determining manufacturing methods and supplier selection.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews early in the product development process.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers.
- Develop specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Investigate new technologies and suppliers to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Resolve manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions with suppliers.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and component manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with sheet metal forming and cutting processes.
- Experience with engineering drawings and GD&T.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel applications.
