Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies of the rocket.
- Own the new product introduction for new assemblies, including determining manufacturing methods and supplier development.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Work with procurement to find and vet exceptional suppliers.
- Create and develop specifications to flow down quality and manufacturing requirements.
- Scope out new technologies and suppliers to improve rate/quality/efficiency.
- Review issues on assigned parts and implement changes to resolve them.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and respective manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of sheet metal forming, cutting, and assembly processes.
- Familiarity with machining and ancillary operations.
- Experience with engineering drawings and quality systems.
- Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
