Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies of the rocket.
- Own the new product introduction of new assemblies, determining manufacturing methods and identifying suppliers.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet suppliers for quality and efficiency.
- Create and develop specifications for quality and manufacturing requirements.
- Scope and evaluate new technologies and suppliers to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Review and resolve issues on assigned parts, implementing root cause solutions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and related manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with sheet metal forming, machining, and welding processes.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Experience with quality systems and disciplined problem-solving approaches.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
