Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Own the new product introduction process for new assemblies, determining manufacturing methods and identifying suppliers.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet suppliers for quality and efficiency.
- Create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements to suppliers.
- Investigate and scope new technologies to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Review and resolve issues related to assigned parts, implementing changes as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and associated manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with machining operations and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical methods.
- Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
- Willingness to travel up to 35-50% of the work week.
