Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and assemblies, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Own the new product introduction process for new assemblies, including supplier identification and process development.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Collaborate with procurement to vet suppliers for quality and efficiency.
- Create specifications to communicate quality and manufacturing requirements.
- Explore new technologies and suppliers to enhance production efficiency.
- Resolve issues related to assigned parts and drive corrective actions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or inspection of mechanical products.
- Understanding of propulsion/fluid systems and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with machining, welding, and assembly processes.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office and report writing.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel up to 40-50%.
