Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts and resolve manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Review issues and implement solutions at suppliers or internally as needed.
- Create and manage issue tickets, collaborating with engineering for necessary changes.
- Familiarize with assigned parts and processes, becoming the primary contact for supply chain defects.
- Work with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers for quality and efficiency.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability.
- Oversee the new product introduction (NPI) process and drive the production part approval process (PPAP).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or inspection of mechanical products.
- Familiarity with machining and operations like milling and turning.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and models.
- Knowledge of supplier quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Willingness to travel up to 60-85% of the time.
