Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, resolving manufacturing and quality challenges.
- Review and address issues on assigned parts, implementing necessary changes at suppliers or SpaceX.
- Create and manage issue tickets, coordinating with engineering for required actions.
- Become familiar with assigned parts and processes, serving as the primary contact for supply chain defects.
- Collaborate with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure parts are manufacturable.
- Own the new product introduction (NPI) process for new and existing parts.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience with manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Master’s degree in engineering (preferred).
- Experience with machining operations and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with quality processes and statistical techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Must be able to travel up to 60-85% of the work week.
