Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned parts, addressing manufacturing and quality challenges at suppliers.
- Review issues on assigned parts and implement changes to resolve root causes.
- Create and manage issue tickets and collaborate with engineering counterparts.
- Familiarize with assigned parts and processes to address supply chain defects.
- Work with procurement to identify and vet exceptional suppliers for quality and efficiency.
- Conduct design for manufacturing (DFM) reviews to ensure manufacturability of parts.
- Own the new product introduction (NPI) process and drive the production part approval process (PPAP).
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of experience in manufacturing and/or inspection of mechanical products.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering and experience with machining operations.
- Familiarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality processes.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques, Lean, and Six Sigma.
- Proficient in MS Office, Excel, SQL, and PowerBI.
- Ability to travel up to 60-85% of the work week.
