Manufacturing Engineer, Starship Propulsion

The Manufacturing Engineer within the Starship Propulsion team at SpaceX is responsible for establishing requirements and developing tooling and processes for the production of rocket components, focusing on integration and reliability.

• Collect production requirements and plan the build, integration, and validation of flight hardware.
• Design and implement tooling solutions to improve quality and accelerate production.
• Automate processes for large-scale production lines.
• Ensure subsystem work centers meet cycle time requirements.
• Become a subject matter expert in vehicle-level systems.
• Maintain design for manufacturing requirements for mainline systems.
• Collaborate with design engineering and technician teams.

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 1+ years of hands-on engineering experience.
• Preferred: Master's degree in engineering and 2+ years of aerospace/mechanical engineering experience.
• Experience with GD&T concepts and process development.
• Familiarity with CAD and automation systems.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding job duties.
