Responsibilities
- Design the factory and processes for high-quality flow control devices and mechanisms.
- Optimize production flow and implement automation to accelerate production.
- Collaborate with engineers and vendors to ensure manufacturability of parts.
- Maintain work instructions and track defects and part movement.
- Support component-level testing such as proof and leak tests.
- Target zero workmanship defects and minimize production issues.
- Increase scrutiny of products as they mature for commercial and crewed missions.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design or hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Strong communication skills and experience in leadership or mentorship.
- Familiarity with fluid and electromechanical components.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics, and electrical circuits.
- Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and fluid schematics.
- Experience in software development (SQL, Python, or C#) is preferred.
