Responsibilities
- Design the factory and process for high-quality flow control devices and mechanisms.
- Optimize production flow and implement automation for efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and vendors for manufacturability.
- Maintain work instructions and track defects/part movement.
- Support component testing and solve production yield investigations.
- Aim for zero workmanship defects and enhance factory scrutiny.
- Travel to vendors and other SpaceX sites as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in physics or an engineering discipline.
- 1+ years of mechanical design/hands-on manufacturing experience.
- Leadership or mentorship experience with effective communication skills.
- Experience with fluid and electromechanical components.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, mechanics, materials, thermodynamics, and electrical circuits.
- Proficient in interpreting fluid schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience in software development in SQL, Python, or C#.
