Manufacturing Engineer (Starlink)

The Manufacturing Engineer (Starlink) role at SpaceX involves driving manufacturing tools and processes for the Starlink project, which aims to provide broadband internet globally via a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites. The engineer will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure quality, reliability, and manufacturability of products.

• Design and implement electro-mechanical assembly and test processes
• Collaborate with the mechanical design team for manufacturability
• Lead prototype builds and ensure production milestones are met
• Ensure manufacturing systems meet volume, cost, and quality targets
• Lead facilities development and material flow definition
• Identify tooling and hardware requirements, and implement them in production
• Identify automation opportunities and evaluate ROI

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in high-volume commercial or automotive manufacturing
• Experience transitioning products from design to manufacturing
• Ability to design tooling for high-volume manufacturing
• Demonstrated experience implementing automation in production processes
• Familiarity with ERP, MRP, and MES systems
