Manufacturing Engineer (Falcon & Dragon)

The Manufacturing Engineer at SpaceX will develop solutions for manufacturing processes related to the Falcon and Dragon spacecraft, working closely with development and production teams to ensure effective integration and production efficiency.

• Responsible for the build and inspection process for Falcon & Dragon vehicles.
• Develop and refine manufacturing processes for safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve production challenges.
• Evaluate designs for manufacturability with design engineers.
• Resolve product non-conformances with the quality team.
• Plan and execute upgrades to meet production demands.
• Analyze floor layouts and product flow for on-time delivery.

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, materials, or industrial engineering.
• 1+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or production.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with large mechanical assemblies and metallic manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software for design and analysis.
• Knowledge of design for manufacture and assembly (DFMA).
• Experience transitioning products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
