Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of inspectors and supplier quality engineers.
- Ensure accountability and compliance with quality and drawing requirements among suppliers.
- Oversee resolution of quality issues, including inspections and engineering dispositions.
- Generate quality metric reports and analyze trends to identify defect patterns.
- Initiate improvement projects at suppliers to reduce defects.
- Conduct supplier audits and assess compliance and capabilities.
- Communicate quality trends and recommendations to influence design changes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering or manufacturing engineering.
- 1+ year of experience leading teams or projects.
- Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Expertise in root cause analysis tools and quality management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and trend analysis.
