Responsibilities
- Manage the supply base for critical commodities related to the Raptor product line.
- Monitor trends and manage costs of parts, mitigating cost increases through supplier relationships.
- Leverage demand forecasts to ensure manufacturing capacity and quality yield.
- Provide guidance on design for manufacturability and cost reduction strategies.
- Conduct supplier analysis for sourcing decisions and manage contracts.
- Visit suppliers to assess technical capabilities and implement product life cycle strategies.
- Develop should-cost models and educate junior team members on cost management.
Job Requirements
- Advanced degree with 4+ years or a bachelor's degree with 6+ years in relevant fields.
- Experience in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and material cost control.
- Ability to manage large contracts and a global supply base.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and quality documents.
- Excellent communication skills for summarizing risks and strategies.
- Detail-oriented and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or meet ITAR requirements.
