Responsibilities
- Manage the supply base for critical aerospace components related to the Raptor product line.
- Monitor trends and manage costs of parts, leveraging commercial relationships and technical knowledge.
- Ensure manufacturing capacity and quality yield align with production demands.
- Provide guidance on design for manufacturability and cost reduction strategies.
- Conduct supplier analysis for sourcing decisions and risk assessments.
- Visit suppliers to assess capabilities for new product development and production.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Job Requirements
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in engineering, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Experience with CNC machined parts, forgings, or raw materials.
- Proven ability to manage large contracts and a global supply base.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and quality documents.
- Strong communication skills for conveying risks and strategies to leadership.
- Detail-oriented and able to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
