Electrical Engineer (Crew Starship Avionics)

The role involves working as an Electrical Engineer on the Crew Starship Avionics team at SpaceX, focusing on developing avionics for the Human Landing System to support lunar and Mars missions.

• Develop high reliability spacecraft electronics for Crew Starship vehicles.
• Support or act as responsible engineer for flight hardware from conception through build, qualification, and flight operations.
• Perform component selection, design analysis, schematic capture, prototyping, debugging, and circuit validation.
• Assist with electrical architecture, product requirements, manufacturing planning, and production testing.
• Execute development and qualification testing campaigns for reliable flight hardware.
• Directly support NASA with deliverables for Crew Starship milestones.
• Collaborate with experts from other teams to ensure efficient and reliable system performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 1+ years of experience designing, building, or testing circuit boards or electronics.
• Passion for spaceflight and high reliability electronics design.
• Experience with system trades and hardware requirements.
• Familiarity with schematic capture and board layout, preferably in Altium or Circuit Maker.
• Basic understanding of EMI/EMC and design-for-manufacture principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
