Responsibilities

  • Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems on propulsion hardware.
  • Own hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operation.
  • Collaborate with various engineering domains to develop propulsion systems.
  • Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
  • Establish efficient product lifecycle processes from supply chain to final integration.
  • Perform tests on hardware to validate analysis and compliance with design criteria.
  • Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience in mechanical design.
  • Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
  • Familiarity with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
