Responsibilities

  • Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems on space-grade hardware.
  • Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
  • Collaborate with partner domains including thermal, materials, electrical, and software groups.
  • Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
  • Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
  • Perform vacuum chamber tests and environmental tests on hardware.
  • Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops apply).
  • Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
  • Experience with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
