Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems on propulsion hardware.
- Own hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operation.
- Collaborate with various engineering domains to develop propulsion systems.
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
- Establish efficient product lifecycle processes from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform tests on hardware to validate analysis and compliance with design criteria.
- Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
- Preferred: Master’s degree in engineering and 3+ years of experience in mechanical design.
- Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
- Familiarity with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Experience with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
