Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems for propulsion hardware.
- Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
- Collaborate with thermal, materials, electrical, mechanical, software, and GNC teams.
- Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
- Drive DFM to create efficient designs with a focus on production metrics.
- Perform tests to validate analysis and compliance with design criteria.
- Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
- Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB; familiarity with SQL and Metabase preferred.
