Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems related to propulsion hardware.
- Oversee hardware from conceptual design through production and on-orbit operation.
- Collaborate with various engineering domains including thermal, materials, and electrical.
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
- Establish efficient product lifecycle and production processes.
- Conduct vacuum chamber tests and performance characterization on hardware.
- Perform root cause investigations on hardware failures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software.
- 1+ years of industry experience, including internships.
- Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics and finite element analysis.
- Familiarity with GD&T concepts and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Python and MATLAB, with knowledge of SQL being a plus.
