Responsibilities
- Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems on space-grade hardware.
- Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
- Collaborate with partner domains including thermal, materials, electrical, and software groups.
- Develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization.
- Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
- Perform vacuum chamber tests and environmental tests on hardware.
- Conduct root cause investigations for hardware failures.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
- 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops apply).
- Master’s degree in engineering or related technical discipline preferred.
- Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
- Experience with fluid dynamics and finite element modeling.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFMA).
