Responsibilities

  • Solve complex mechanical, thermal, magnetic, and fluid system problems for propulsion hardware.
  • Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and on-orbit operation.
  • Collaborate with thermal, materials, electrical, mechanical, software, and GNC teams.
  • Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
  • Drive DFM to create efficient designs with a focus on production metrics.
  • Perform tests to validate analysis and compliance with design criteria.
  • Manage product delivery timelines through all stages of development and production.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience with CAD and FEA software packages.
  • 1+ years of industry experience (internships/co-ops applicable).
  • Master’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with electric or chemical propulsion systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and MATLAB; familiarity with SQL and Metabase preferred.
