Automation & Controls Specialist, Heat Shield Production (Starship) - Night Shift

The Automation & Controls Specialist will support the development and construction of tooling for Starship and Super Heavy Booster, focusing on automation projects and reliability improvements for production systems.

• Own and execute industrial automation projects.
• Develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems.
• Provide technical support for controls technicians and other teams.
• Lead technicians and contractors efficiently.
• Commission new hardware.
• Perform continuous improvements for team processes.
• Draft and redline drawings in electrical and fluids schematics.

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 2+ years of experience in a controls technician, controls specialist, or engineering role.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology field preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70, 70E, 79 & UL508A codes.
• Experience in programming PLC and HMI.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a high-paced, challenging work environment.
