Product Design Engineer Intern

The role is for a Product Design Engineer Intern at Skydio, a leading US drone company focused on autonomous flight technology. The intern will work on meaningful projects, solve complex problems, and learn from experienced engineers.

• Design parts for next generation prototypes.
• Identify root causes of mission-critical issues in products.
• Propose solutions through engineering design or manufacturing process changes.
• Validate solutions via hands-on prototyping, testing, and data collection.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers and suppliers.
• Present work in design reviews and learn from senior team members.
• Engage in creative problem-solving with a scrappy mindset.

• Strong curiosity and passion for mechanical design.
• Solid fundamentals in creating exceptional designs for complex products.
• Experience with 3D CAD, familiarity with CATIA is a plus.
• Willingness to learn about manufacturing processes and design integration.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
