AI Embedded Systems Engineer

The AI Embedded Systems Engineer role at SiPhox involves owning critical firmware for a complex electro-mechanical-optical-fluidic-biochemical system. The engineer will work on production firmware, debug across disciplines, and integrate various components while pushing the use of AI in embedded development.

• Own firmware for STM32 + RTOS, ensuring production code reliability.
• Work with peripheral micros and define communication protocols.
• Manage the process from bring-up through verification to commercial release.
• Debug across multiple disciplines and identify root causes of issues.
• Ensure reliability and safety through hazard analysis and fault-tolerant designs.
• Build verification automation and test infrastructure.
• Integrate AI into the development process and device functionality.

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Strong skills in C/C++ for embedded systems and solid RTOS experience.
• Familiarity with STM32 or similar Cortex-M microcontrollers.
• Experience in motion or electromechanical control systems.
• Proven ownership of firmware architecture in real products.
• Excellent debugging skills across various disciplines.
• Active use of AI coding tools and commitment to high-quality standards.
