Responsibilities
- Spend a minimum of 6 months onsite at Sila, beginning in June 2026, to work on assigned projects.
- Develop slurry and coating recipes through an iterative design process.
- Discover and explain the relationships between electrode components and cell performance.
- Plan and execute experiments on slurry formulation and cell processing.
- Help build and operationalize new processes and analytics for slurry and coating.
- Identify safety hazards and implement improvements.
Job Requirements
- At least 6 months’ prior experience in academic or industrial R&D environments.
- Academic focus in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science, physics, materials science, or mechanical engineering.
- Proficiency with experimental design methods and data analysis.
- Strong commitment to documenting procedures and results.
- Familiarity with collaborative problem-solving best practices.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment and handle materials safely.
- Capability to operate analytical equipment and manage physical demands of the job.
