The Propulsion Engineering Co-op role is a hands-on internship aimed at rising graduates, focusing on the development and optimization of propulsion systems for V-BAT UAVs.
Responsibilities
- Own a development project tailored to the co-op's start date and duration.
- Collaborate with engineers in the design, testing, and validation of propulsion components.
- Support the development of systems related to oil and fuel delivery, and thermal management for engines.
- Conduct data collection and performance analysis from engine and propeller tests.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis of propulsion systems.
- Engage in design iterations and overall propulsion system integration.
- Gain exposure to combustion, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mechanical design.
Job Requirements
- Completed at least the 2nd year of Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong technical fundamentals.
- Experience in an engineering team/club, preferably related to propulsion.
- Proficiency with mechanical design software (e.g., NX, SolidWorks).
- Demonstrated ownership of project outcomes.
- Record of hard work and being a trustworthy teammate.
- Ability to hold oneself and others to high standards.
