Responsibilities
- Own products from early concept through production — design, prototype, test, iterate, ship
- Design electromechanical systems that integrate motors, sensors, actuators, PCBs, and controls
- Build hands-on prototypes using in-house lab tools, rapid prototyping, and supplier support
- Dig into root-cause analysis and troubleshoot mechanical and system-level issues directly
- Translate product requirements into CAD models, drawings, tolerances, and specs
- Work closely with EE, ID, NPD, and testing teams from day one
- Run design validation, reliability testing, and DFM/DFA reviews
Job Requirements
- BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field, plus 1–3 years in product development or R&D
- Real hands-on prototyping experience — you've built and tested physical hardware
- Solid grasp of electromechanical systems (motors, gearing, mechanisms, basic electronics)
- Proficiency in 3D CAD — SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar
- Experience taking a product from concept to production
- Comfort with fast-moving, iterative environments where requirements evolve
- Energy and creativity when facing problems no one has solved before
