Electrical Engineering Co-Op- Berkeley

This co-op position at Samtec, Inc. is focused on providing engineering support within the Optical Group, working on projects related to optical transceiver product lines.

• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines including electrical and mechanical.
• Complete assigned projects and maintain customer focus.
• Build trust with team members and take initiative.
• Learn about mechanical prototyping, thermal design, and high-speed electrical design.
• Gain exposure to optical laboratory testing and manufacturing processes.
• Develop test automation and scripting skills.
• Engage in data science and engineering data analysis.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Optical, or related engineering fields.
• Junior/Senior or graduate level preferred, with relevant project or internship experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and manage multiple projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
