Electrical Engineering Co-Op

The role is for an Electrical Engineering co-op at Samsara, where the intern will work on the electrical engineering aspects of product design, collaborating with various teams to ensure successful product development and customer satisfaction.

• Contribute to shipping successful product lines.
• Conduct research on the latest silicon possibilities from top semiconductor companies.
• Evaluate system feature tradeoffs and create system specifications for development.
• Prototype assemblies for evaluating concepts or jump-starting firmware development.
• Design from block diagrams to schematics and layout.
• Create validation plans and characterize the electrical system for function and power.
• Conduct failure analysis to improve design performance and quality.

• Bachelor’s degree in progress in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Commitment to a minimum of 6 months of full-time co-op employment.
• Prior intern or co-op experience in high-volume hardware programs.
• Solid fundamentals in digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Knowledge of schematic and layout tools like Altium or Cadence.
• Hands-on experience with test instruments like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in English.
