Responsibilities
- Support the Business Development team with proposals and mission concepts
- Develop high-performance and lightweight satellite systems and mechanisms
- Define mechanisms for modern satellite systems/buses
- Own component designs from conceptual design through production and testing
- Perform hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for design decisions
- Lead component design, manufacturing, and test reviews
- Create and maintain product definitions through CAD and production drawings
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or related discipline
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements
- Spacecraft/satellite design experience is a plus
- Hands-on development and testing experience preferred
- Ability to apply GD&T to component designs
