Responsibilities
- Support the Business Development team with proposals and mission concepts
- Develop high performance and lightweight satellite systems and mechanisms
- Define mechanisms for modern satellite systems/bus
- Own component designs from conceptual design through production and testing
- Perform hand-calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for design decisions
- Lead design, manufacturing, and test reviews of key components
- Manage development schedules, vendors, budgets, and project deliverables
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering
- 2+ years of mechanical engineering experience
- Experience with CAD modeling and drawing
- U.S. citizenship required due to program requirements
- Spacecraft/satellite design experience preferred
- Hands-on development and testing experience
- Ability to apply GD&T to component designs
